Makita has added to its XGT System of equipment and tools with the new 3/8” Metal Hole Puncher, a 40V max XGT that allows for complete cordless hole punching mobility without the hassles of a cord.
The 3/8" Metal Hole Puncher (GPP01) delivers up to 25 percent faster punching speed when compared with the Makita XPP01.
The 3/8" Metal Hole Puncher features a grip handle that rotates 360°, allowing for optimal positioning in a variety of spaces. The punch stop mechanism automatically retracts the die once a punch is complete to quickly continue operations. The GPP01 also features an adjustable depth guide that allows for punch location adjustment up to 1-37/64" (40 mm) from the edge of the workpiece.
The 3/8" Metal Hole Puncher is engineered with a max metal plate thickness capacity of 3/8" in general steel and 8/32" in stainless steel. There is a return lever that allows for the punch to be retracted during mid-operation. The GPP01 delivers fast and effortless hole-punching speed in under 3.8 seconds.
Convenience features include an ergonomic pistol grip handle with a rubberized soft grip that provides increased comfort on the job, a built-in L.E.D. light that illuminates the work area, a convenient side handle for additional support, as well as an integrated battery charge light indicator that allows users to monitor battery charge level.
