Eberspächer recently introduced new variants of the Hydronic S3 coolant heater.
Alongside the new 12-V Economy variant the company now supplies a 24-V version for use in
Eberspacher hydronic
commercial vehicles. It features a new S+ interface, which means that it can be operated with an On/Off switch.
Eberspächer has also increased the heating performance of the 24-V variant to 6 kW and included full compatibility with its new generation of control units.
Advantages, highlights and technical features of the unit include the following:
• New 12-V version for typical applications (Economy CS) with a service life of 3,000 hours.
• New 24-V version for commercial applications (Commercial CS) with a service life of 5,000 hours.
• 24-V version (Commercial variant) with a new Flowtronic 1400 water pump.
• Ability to combine several heaters and control unit => scope for more complex applications, e.g. application with water and air heater, operation with EasyStart Pro (2018 new-generation of control units)
• Compatible with the new CAN bus-based control units = EasyStart Pro
• S+ interface => can also be operated with previous control unit generations
• Power variant with 6 kW heating performance (24-V Only)
• Economy: Suitable for altitudes up to 1,500 m above sea level; altitude adjustment can be activated manually above 1,500 m with EasyStart Pro Commercial: Automatic altitude adjustment up to 3,000 m
