Service body maker Stellar Industries Inc. is among the winners of a 2016 Pillar of the Industry award from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.
Based in Garner, Iowa, Stellar was among 32 Pillar winners announced in November as part of the AEM’s I Make America advocacy awards.
The Pillar awards went to companies achieving or maintaining I Make America Gold status during the year, said a news release from the AEM. Those activities “can include significant employee involvement; outreach to state, local and federal legislators; and promoting campaign sign-ups at trade shows and with allied trade associations,” the release noted.
Other 2016 Pillar winners included such familiar construction industry names as Caterpillar Inc., Deere & Company, Doosan Bobcat, JCB Inc., Terex Corporation, Vermeer Corporation, and Volvo Construction Equipment. The latter was also among six Legacy award winners.
“I Make America’s success depends on the strong support of member companies and their employees to help our elected officials understand the critical importance of the off-road equipment industry and manufacturing to economic prosperity and quality of life across America,” AEM president Dennis Slater said in the news release.
Stellar’s product lines include mechanics trucks, services trucks, and cranes.
