Kahn Truck Equipment Company of St. Louis has been added to the distribution network of Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc.
Kahn serves IMT customers in southern Illinois and eastern Missouri, said a recent news release from IMT, an Oshkosh Corporation company based in Garner, Iowa.
“Kahn Truck Equipment’s focus on service vehicles, vast experience and commitment to customer success make the company an ideal partner for IMT,” Tim Gerbus, IMT sales director, said in the release. “Working with Kahn Truck Equipment, our customers in the region will find the right equipment for their business and receive first-rate service after the sale.”
Kahn has more than 20 years of experience in the truck industry. Founded in 1940, the company specializes in custom mechanics and service trucks for such markets as construction, mining, railroad and heavy equipment dealers. Kahn now carries such IMT products as Dominator mechanics trucks, telescopic cranes, IMT Site Star lube trucks and lube skids, air compressors and articulating cranes.
In April, shortly after the deal with IMT was announced, Kahn Truck Equipment was due to relocate to the new $12 million facility in St, Louis of its affiliated company, CSTK Inc. The 56,000 square foot facility is on 16 acres on Carrie Avenue off of North Broadway at Interstate 70.
“We’re proud to partner with IMT as we begin this exciting new era,” the release quoted Michael Kahn, chief executive officer of Kahn Truck Equipment and CSTK, which is a diversified distributor of transportation, construction and communications equipment and related services. “We strive to provide our customers with the best equipment for their operations, and IMT products are known for their quality throughout the industries we serve. IMT also shares our dedication to excellent customer service and product support. It’s a perfect fit.”
