Temp, Arizona – Coxreels, a manufacturing company for heavy duty professional grade hose, cord, and cable reels, has announced it has made significant product enhancements to its spring-driven reel models. The 1 ¼ inch and 1 ½ inch SLPL models have been upgraded.
Previously the SLPL models came with standard Coxreel aluminum inline swivel. Coxreels has now eliminated the aluminum inline swivel on five of the SLPL models (725, 750, 825, 835, and 850). Now, the steel inline swivel has been replaced to be nickel-plated. This allows the swivel pressure to increase to 1500psi, a major upgrade over the previous capacity of 250psi. The nickel-plated steel is also much more durable and rugged than the aluminum inline swivel.
For customers who needed a stainless-steel fluid path, the outsourced 90-degree stainless steel swivel was the only option. Now the new inline swivel, which is also available in stainless steel, allows consumers to eliminate the need for the outsourced product. The stainless-steel inline swivel fluid path is more cost-effective, more efficient, and less restrictive than the outsourced 90-degree swivel.
Lastly, the axle plumbing in both standard carbon steel models as well as optional stainless-steel models has been replaced. The 135-degree elbow has been substituted with the Coxreels swept riser design, to allow for a less restrictive flow path and better flow efficiency.
These new spring-driven reel models from Coxreels are great accessories for service trucks.
