Mullen Automotive, Inc., an electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has announced that its Class 1 EV cargo van, the Mullen ONE, is now available for rent on Turo, the world’s largest vehicle-sharing marketplace.
Parasol Strategic Solutions, a leading Turo host in Florida, has recognized a growing need for compact, versatile cargo vans in their market. Based on their extensive experience in vehicle sharing and logistics, Parasol has noted a rise in demand for small, efficient vans that can easily navigate urban environments while supporting sustainable transportation.
“The Mullen ONE aligns perfectly for a cargo van rental option on Turo, offering a nimble, eco-friendly solution that meets the expectations of businesses seeking on-demand, cost-effective transportation options,” said Bradley Shaw of Parasol Strategic Solutions.
The Mullen ONE will initially be offered in Jacksonville, Florida, as part of a pilot program for Parasol’s expanding electric vehicle on-demand platform. A second pilot in Baltimore, Maryland, is planned to follow.
“This is a gateway opportunity for businesses of all sizes to experience the performance and benefits of Mullen’s Class 1 EV cargo van,” said David Michery, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Mullen Automotive.
Mullen’s commercial EV lineup includes the Mullen ONE Class 1 cargo van and the Mullen THREE Class 3 EV cab chassis truck, both designed to meet the needs of urban last-mile delivery. Both vehicles are for sale and fully compliant with US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, EPA, and CARB certifications.
The Mullen THREE has recently been approved for a $15,000 incentive through the State of Massachusetts MOR-EV program and a $45,000 cash rebate through California’s HVIP (Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project).
The Mullen ONE is also eligible for a $3,500 rebate in Massachusetts, plus a $7,500 federal tax incentive, making both vehicles an attractive option for commercial fleet customers.
