Navistar Inc.’s parts distribution center (PDC) network was named the Top Heavy Equipment Supply Chain by industry solutions advisor Ducker Carlisle during a recent Carlisle North American Parts Benchmark (NAPB) Conference. Two Navistar PDCs also received additional accolades during the conference.
Navistar is based in Lisle, Illinois, and it and its subsidiaries produce International brand commercial trucks and engines, IC Bus brand school and commercial buses, all-makes OnCommand Connection advanced connectivity services, and Fleetrite, ReNEWeD, and Diamond Advantage brand aftermarket parts.
Navistar ranked number one on the list of Top Heavy Equipment Supply Chain for the first time in company history, unseating the previous multi-year winner.
For the sixth consecutive year, Navistar’s PDC in Edmonton, Alberta, ranked number one on the list of Top Performing Warehouses in the Truck and Heavy Equipment category. The Edmonton PDC in Acheson, Alberta, as well as Navistar’s Eastern Canada PDC in Hamilton, Ontario, were finalists for Most Improved Warehouse among all PDCs that participated in the conference this year.
"Our recognition as the Top Heavy Equipment Supply Chain is a major milestone for our evolving business," stated Joseph Lopez, the Director of North American Distribution for Navistar. "Given the supply chain challenges in recent years, we appreciate the efforts of our colleagues at these PDCs who earned this award. This honor affirms our efforts to grow our business along with our customers through greater investment, improved practices, and distribution technology, enabling a more efficient and sustainable operation."
Carlisle & Co.’s metrics-driven Top Performing Warehouse Awards recognize warehouses that perform at the top of their class for service, quality, safety, and cost management in quickly providing high-quality parts to their customers.
"Winning the Top Supply Chain OEM for Heavy Equipment is a huge achievement," said Charles Lester, the Vice President of Navistar’s Logistics & Supply Chain. "That award, paired with the other accolades, speaks to the continuing excellence we strive to attain. These recognitions prove that our efforts to consistently reevaluate our customers’ needs surrounding uptime to ensure we can meet their goals by delivering parts that keep their businesses running are paying off."
