The Samsara App Marketplace features integrations which connect a users third party application with Samsara’s Connected Operations Platform. This application programming interface (API) allows the applications to talk to each other to improve real time data and provide a more holistic picture of the information.
The company announced seven new features added to the platform to improve user experience, break down data silos, and drive digital transformation. Key areas the new features will integrate are the GPS systems, driver location, hours of service, and others.
The integrations include:
- Trimble TMT Fleet Maintenance: Easier vehicle inspections with two-way driver vehicle inspection report and data integration between Trimble TMT and Samsara. Allows customers using both apps to go fully paperless when inspecting vehicles
- Uptake: Sync’s vehicle information from Samsara with the Uptake app, to speed up technician procedures and customer uptime
- SmartBoard TMS: Automatically shares vehicle GPS and driver hours of service from Samsara to SmartBoard TMS. Results in more accurate trips
- Axis TMS: Share both tractor and trailer data from Samsara with Axis TMS, along with driver hours of service. Gives Axis TMS understanding of vehicle real time operations
- InTow Manager: Integrates GPS data from Samsara with InTow Manager. Makes it possible to get real-time ETAs for tow trucks and shares location directly with customers
- HAAS Alert: Samsara shares data of vehicle warning lights to HAAS Alert, which notifies other vehicles nearby when they are on, improving road safety
- FleetWizard CORAS: This integration is available to U.K. customers, and allows them to reduce fleet operational costs by syncing Samsara GPS data into the FleetWizard scheduling system to improve routing
"With these integrations, we're unlocking true software interoperability for our customers," explained Christopher Mozzocchi, Director of Original Equipment Manufacturer and Marketplace Integrations at Samsara. "Whether they're managing operations in Samsara or within another platform, organizations can now access this data in one place - regardless of how it's collected - to boost efficiency and drive meaningful business impact."
Samsara’s connected operation system is currently used by more than 100 partners globally, including McLeod Software, Ford Data Services, Navistar Gateway Integration, and others.
