Doran Manufacturing has integrated with Platform Science’s Virtual Vehicle, what each calls the premier open-connected vehicle application platform. Their quest is to help fleets reduce tire-related operating expenses, increase equipment uptime, and improve vehicle safety.
With the integration, fleets using both Doran and Virtual Vehicle can have tire pressure and temperature information displayed via the Doran TPMS mobile app and remotely through the Doran TPMS portal for convenience and clarity.
Data captured and displayed includes real-time notifications for cautionary and critical low-pressure alerts, FastLeak rapid deflation events, and high tire temperature conditions, with the option to add a high-pressure warning.
These insights also provide driver managers and fleet maintenance teams with real-time visibility on problem tires through email alert notifications, daily summary reporting, and current tire status by vehicle.
Virtual Vehicle, developed in collaboration with Daimler Truck North America, Navistar, PACCAR Inc., and other leading OEMs (original equipment manufacturers), enables fleets to access a marketplace of telematics, driver, and fleet management apps through factory-equipped native OEM vehicle architecture or simple aftermarket hardware installations for non-compatible vehicles.
Established in 1953 and headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, Doran Manufacturing develops innovative technology to keep its customers’ equipment in service while improving safety and reducing costs. It provides a full lineup of tire monitoring systems for over-the-road vehicles, agricultural equipment, off-road, earth-moving equipment, school buses, first responders, and more, as well as producing exterior light monitors and sleeping child monitors for school transportation usage. www.doranmfg.com.
