Now that Work Truck Week is over, time for the service truck trade to start planning for future shows. The Utility Expo, which will be held in 2025, recently shared some news.
The Utility Expo, North America's largest trade show for utility professionals, has chosen Brian Metcalf, CEO of Ring-O-Matic, to lead its 2025 event. Metcalf will head the volunteer exhibitions management committee responsible for overall show planning.
The Utility Expo boasts a record-breaking 2023 show with over 21,000 attendees from across the US and 60 countries. It returns to the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville for its next edition in October 2025.
"Brian's experience and leadership are a perfect fit for our vision of the upcoming Expo," said Utility Show Director Brianne Somers. "We're excited to see what he and the committee achieve."
Metcalf brings a unique background to the role. Starting his career in Iowa farming, he transitioned to the utility construction industry after joining Ring-O-Matic in 2015. He later acquired the company in 2017 and has grown it into a leading supplier of vacuum excavation equipment used for safe underground utility work. Ring-O-Matic boasts over 85 dealerships across North America and international service centers.
