Volvo Trucks will demonstrate its strong position within electromobility at IAA Transportation 2022 in Hanover, Germany, the world's main trade fair for mobility, transport and logistics held September 20-25, 2022. It will also showcase its latest safety solutions and technology for decarbonizing transport.
Although the trucks and products are presented for the European market, we can assume each will make its way to the North American market shortly.
The overall theme for Volvo Trucks at the event is, “Towards Zero” – zero emissions and zero accidents.
Showcasing its electric truck range, what it calls the broadest in the industry, with three heavy-duty and two medium-duty truck models available for order in Europe.
It will also show its offering of services for electric trucks, such as range and route planning, charging solutions and financing. Volvo will also demonstrate other driveline solutions that are enabling haulers to make solid progress on their journey towards zero emissions.
“Together with our customers and their customers we are on a journey towards zero emissions. We look forward to showing our great trucks and services that enable haulers to reduce CO2 while at the same time running a competitive business. Whatever driveline – electric, gas-powered or conventional diesel truck – we offer solutions for increased energy efficiency and a reduced climate footprint,” stated Roger Alm, President of Volvo Trucks.
In the field of safety, Volvo Trucks will, among other things, display its new safety system to help protect pedestrians and cyclists. The system involves a dual radar on each side of the truck as well as camera supported features.
Volvo Trucks will have several trucks available for test driving outside the exhibition, including its FL Electric and FE Electric. In addition, other trucks like the Volvo FH with I-Save, FM LNG and a FH16 for the heaviest transport assignments will also be displayed in the outside exhibition area.
