Sharonville, Ohio-headquartered Workhorse Group Inc.—an American technology company focused on pioneering the transition to zero-emission commercial vehicles—has partnered with Burr Truck and Trailer Sales to be its first distribution and service partner in New York State, making it the initial Workhorse dealership in the northeastern US.
Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Vestal, New York, Burr Truck is a third-generation, family-owned commercial truck dealership offering services, sales, and leasing of Class 3–8 medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
Through the Workhorse partnership with Burr Truck, it represents a critical step forward in supporting greater access to zero-emission transportation technology in an extremely challenging supply chain market.
"As we continue to produce and deliver a growing number of Class 4 and other last-mile delivery products, we are also actively building out our national distribution capabilities," said Rick Dauch, the Chief Executive Officer for Workhorse. "This partnership with Burr Truck gives us a pivotal foothold in the northeastern U.S. and aligns our sales efforts with an established name brand in the region. We look forward to growing our partnership with Burr Truck as we ramp our production capacity and accelerate vehicle deliveries over the coming months."
Chuck Burr, President of Burr Truck and Trailer Sales, added: "The Workhorse W4 CC and W750 fit well with our current medium- and heavy-duty product lines, giving our company the opportunity to expand our service offering to a larger demographic in a state that is at the forefront of EV adoption. We look forward to partnering with Workhorse to help drive commercial fleet electrification."
Burr Truck continues to invest in top-of-the-line infrastructure to keep pace with ever-changing technology, including but not limited to a Level-3 DC Fast Charge 120 kW ABB Terra 124 charging system. Burr Truck’s additional investment in training, tooling, and safety equipment supports its commitment to be the premier New York truck dealership, offering customers a partner and solution in understanding the ins and outs of battery electric vehicles.
