Yanmar, a global leader in industrial machinery and power solutions, has debuted two industrial diesel engines in the US for the first time at CONEXPO 2023, North America's largest exhibition for construction equipment and industrial machinery, March 14-18 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The two new diesel engines are the vertical water-cooled 4TN86CHT and the industrial 3TNV80FT—both meeting the US EPA/CARB Tier 4 and EU StageV emission regulations.
4TN86CHT
The 4TN86CHT (see image above) incorporates Yanmar's latest diesel engine technology, developed through their extensive experience in engine development, to achieve even higher power density (power output per displacement).
The new engine meets strict emission regulations while also being compact, making it easier to fit into customers' machinery. The engine also boasts lower fuel consumption and noise levels.
Yanmar's new 4TN86CHT engine offers 14 percent more power output than previous inter-cooled turbo models of the same displacement. The engine's compact design makes it easier to install, and the proprietary DPF system ensures seamless operation in all work conditions with a long cleaning interval of 6,000 hours.

3TNV80FT engine is the perfect solution for pumps, slope mowers, zero-turn mowers, stand-up skid-steer loaders, line pullers, hydraulic pumps, and wheel loaders.
With a power output of 24.7 horsepower, this engine boasts Yanmar's Eco Governor fuel system—a unique blend of a mechanical fuel injection pump with an electronic governor that's controlled by an ECU. Moreover, it has a higher torque rise than other engines of its size, making it an ideal choice for those who need to handle tough jobs without getting bogged down.
"The 3TNV80FT and 4TN86CHT diesel engines from Yanmar represent a significant leap forward in power and efficiency, with a compact design that makes installation a breeze,” explained Ron Adams, Director of Power Solutions, Yanmar America Corporation. “These engines offer higher power output and a proprietary exhaust gas after-treatment system that ensures seamless operation in all work conditions. Whether you're handling light or heavy loads, these engines are always ready to deliver the power and performance you need."
Yanmar America, located in Adairsville, Georgia, is the regional headquarters of Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. a global company based in Osaka, Japan. Yanmar was established in 1912, and in 1933 became the world's first manufacturer to develop a practical small diesel engine.
Today, Yanmar is a recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of advanced-performance diesel engines and diesel-powered equipment, as well as gas engine-based energy systems.
