Minneapolis, Minnesota – Zeus Electric Chassis has announced that the company has exceeded targets for a recent seed funding round. The company closed the round securing $674,000 of invested capital, beating its goal of $500,000. Zeus will use the proceeds to fund upcoming truck builds and expansion of sales and marketing initiatives.
“We offered small investors the opportunity to participate in this early stage of our fundraising process and could not be more delighted with the response,” said Zeus CEO Wayne Kugel. “Since unveiling the prototype for our first all-electric vocational work truck in January, we’ve generated tremendous interest. Going forward, we remain focused on executing our business plan with integrity to deliver sustainable results in this rapidly growing market.”
The funding round was led by Silicon Prairie Capital Partners and limited to friends and family investors. Zeus hopes to continue seeking investment through a Regulation CF crowdfunding campaign set to begin at the end of the month.
“The Zeus team has accomplished a tremendous amount over the last five months. Zeus is a North American supplier of reconfigurable, zero emissions work trucks. Completing this seed round has provided the funding needed to realize our vision of becoming the leading zero emissions work truck solution provider.” Said Ken Smith, Zeus Board Chair.
