Headquartered in Claremore, Oklahoma, just outside of Tulsa, EMCO Industries has announced the addition of Marcus Hester as its new Vice President.
EMCO is a leading manufacturer of leaf springs for trailers, agricultural equipment, recreational vehicles, and specialty vehicles, manufacturing springs with capacities ranging from 250 pounds (114 kg) to 12,500 pounds (5,670 kg).
Hester is a 22-year sales and marketing veteran with a proven background in business development and market expansion and will head up EMCO’s efforts to grow its business in the heavy-duty trailer market.
“We’re very excited to have Marcus join our team and are pleased to have someone of his caliber and with his background to help us navigate our advancements into new markets,” stated Tyler Jones, the President of EMCO. “As Marcus brings his extensive background in managing targeted sales initiatives to EMCO’s existing capabilities, we think the opportunities for growth in key strategic markets will be significant.”
In his new position, Hester will help manage and sustain growth in the company’s existing agricultural, light- and medium-duty trailer and specialty vehicle suspension markets, as well as its rotary cutting blade business. He will also lead business development initiatives in the heavy-duty trailer market, particularly focusing on 22.5K axle leaf spring capacities.
Previously, he held the position of Chief Marketing Officer for vehicle lighting company Optronics International, and has served two terms on the board of directors of the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM), served on numerous committees, and currently serves as the chair of the organization’s membership committee.
“The marketplace has clearly communicated to us that it needs another competitive domestic leaf spring manufacturer,” Jones added. “And now, with Marcus and our 30 years of experience manufacturing in the heartland of America, we’re just the folks to deliver.”
