Miller Electric Manufacturing, which makes welders and other accessories for mechanics trucks, was honored this fall as a 50-year member of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers.
Meanwhile, a pair of Iowa-based service body makers — Maintainer Corporation; and Stellar Industries Inc. — received kudos for 25 years with the association.
The honors were bestowed at the AEM’s annual general meeting in late November.
“Member engagement is vital to AEM’s success, and these companies’ commitment and participation have contributed greatly to the growth and progress of our industry and AEM,” the release quoted Paul Flemming, AEM’s senior director of membership and engagement. “We are proud to recognize their support.”
In all, 43 companies achieved “milestone member” status in 2016. They included seven companies that reached the 50-year mark. Among the firms joining Miller in that category were Manitowoc Cranes, Taylor Machine Works, and Trimble Navigation Limited.
Based in Appleton, Wisc., Miller makes welders as well as its trademarked EnPak units that combine a welder with an air compressor, generator, and hydraulic pump.
